Free HIV testing @ Gaywise FESTival on 17 November 2011

Taking an HIV test is still one of the most important things you can do for your health.

HIV testing has come on a long way since the early days of HIV/AIDS and the West London Gay Men’s Project (WLGMP) is pleased to be offering free rapid HIV testing at various Gaywise Festival (GFest) events.

Oliver Gilbody, Projects Development Manager at WLGMP said: “WLGMP is pleased to be involved with GFest; helping mark 30 years of HIV prevention.

We are offering free HIV testing at some of the GFest events and hope this will encourage more people to test, who might not have otherwise done so. Providing the opportunity to test at events like these helps normalise HIV testing and keeps HIV in the public’s consciousness.

Offering HIV testing in different settings is key to helping reduce HIV transmission and late diagnosis.”

Trained WLGMP staff will take you through a pre-test discussion and ensure you have all the support you require before taking the test. You will receive your HIV test result on the day.

You can test for HIV at The Cockpit Theatre 5.30pm – 7.30pm on Thursday 17 November 2011.

Cockpit Theatre
